Accommodations and Room Rates

bedroomAll guest rooms are carefully furnished to provide comfort for our guests while honoring the Federal style of the house.  Every room has a private bath with tub-shower (many have deep, claw-footed baths in which you can relax), a working fireplace to warm your body and spirit, a small TV/VCR, and beautiful views of Belfast, the harbor or Penobscot Bay and beyond.  Rates vary from $105 to $170, double occupancy; $15 for an extra person in the room; $10 less for single rate.  Rates include a full breakfast and afternoon/evening treats (varying with the whim of the cook!)

The Bohan P. Field Room
- $150 -This first floor, view room, named for the first owner of the house, is in the former library.  The room is appointed with four-poster queen-sized bed, and wing chair.  Browse the books in the lovely built-in bookcases.  This room has a semi-private deck (accessed from the central hall) which shares the room's delightful view of Belfast Harbor. The Evelyn Perrine Room - $125 - Named for the innkeepers' mother, this charming first-floor room is appointed with a double bed, small wing chair and built-in window seats with a view of the harbor. This room also has a semi-private deck with a view (accessed from the main hall).   (See Room)

The Joshua Chamberlain Room - $150 - Named for an important Maine scholar and Civil War general, this second-floor room has a sweeping view of Belfast Harbor and Penobscot Bay beyond. Appointed with a large, queen-sized bed, a comfortable chair-and-a-half, and rocker by the fireplace, this room can easily accommodate a third person.  (See Room)
The Harbormaster Room - $170 -This second-floor room is named for the sweeping view of the bay it commands, whether from its comfortable window seats or wing-backed chair.  The room has a queen-sized bed and a rocker by the fireplace from which you can enjoy the warmth of the fire and the view of the bay beyond. The Leal Room - $140 - This charming, queen-bedded room, situated on the second floor, has a lovely view of the old Victorian buildings of Belfast and its harbor beyond from both the wicker chairs and the bed - which are also well-suited for gazing into the fire! (See Room)
The Abigail Davis Room - $105 - This room is the only non-view room in the house, but still assumes a quiet charm with its two twin-sized beds and comfy chair-and-a-half. A large room, it can accommodate a third person in the room (settee opens into a twin- bed with Serta mattress). This room is named for the wife of the first owner of the house, who enjoyed the view across Primrose Hill to her sister's house. This room has a large, private adjoining bath (access is from the hall). (See Room)

Terms, Conditions and Other General Information chairs
  • Deposit Policy: Reservations require a 50% deposit. Payment may be made by credit card, check or cash.
  • Confirmation: A confirmation will be sent when your deposit is received. Please check dates for accuracy.
  • Cancellation / Refund Policy: If your plans change, we will refund your deposit if notice is received more than 15 days prior to your arrival date. If a last-minute cancellation is necessary, either prior to your arrival or during your stay, the refund policy applies if we can rebook the room.
  • Methods of Payment: We honor MasterCard, Visa,  traveler’s checks, personal checks, or cash.

  • Check-In / Check-Out: Check-in time is 3:00 - 7:00 pm. If you will be later than 7:00 pm, please call and arrangements can be made. Check-out time is anytime before 11:00 am unless other arrangements have been made.
  • Non-Smoking Inn: For the safety and comfort of our guests, smoking is allowed outside on the lower deck only.
  • Pets:  Sorry, we cannot accommodate pet(s). We can recommend several excellent pet facilities in the area if you need to travel with your pet.
  • Special Needs: With 24-hour notice, special dietary needs can be met. Small refrigerators are available for storing prescriptions or for other medical reasons (limited basis – please request when reserving a room)
  • Senior Discount: A senior citizen discount of 15% is available to all guests over the age of 65.
  • Extended Stay Special: Book 3 or more nights and receive a discount of 15% - all year long! See our Off-Season Specials.
  • Friends and Families Discount: Book two or more rooms at the same time and receive 10% discount for stays of one or 2 nights
  • Note: Special rates cannot be combined and require 72-hour advance booking
  • All rates are for two people and include full breakfast. All rooms have private bath and fireplace. Rates do not include 7% Maine State Sales and Lodging Tax and are subject to change. 
  • People traveling alone may deduct $10 from the price of the room (specify "Single" when making your reservation).
