This second-floor room, named for the Maine Civil War general and hero of the Battle of Gettysburg, is custom made for those who love to snuggle in bed as they read and watch the view of Penobscot Bay and the roaring fire! Relax in this room, which has the nicest view of Belfast's famed antique red tug boats.

Guests can also sit in the room's ample chair-and-a-half or in the comfy rocker by the fire and plan the next day's activities.  A closet provides ample guest storage space. The room includes a TV/VCR as well as a collection of books about Joshua Chamberlain for browsing. The private bath includes a raised, claw-footed tub for a deep relaxing soak (or a quick shower!). This room can accommodate a third person.
