Changes For 2010!

Because co-innkeepers Mary Ellen and Ron will be tending to family matters in California for the foreseeable future, Harbor View House has to change its focus just a bit. We still plan to provide quality lodging for our guests who wish to explore mid-coast Maine. 

However, instead of operating as a bed&breakfast, 

the beautiful Harbor View House of 1807 will now be available as a vacation rental. 

Plan your "stay-cation" in our lovely historic home, where guests can enjoy the entire house, kitchen included, and truly experience the joy of living in coastal Maine. Rental of the full house gives you access to all 6 guest rooms (each with private bath and fireplace), the small but efficient kitchen, and the lovely deck with view of Belfast Harbor and beyond to Penobscot Bay. 

A formal dining room provides ample seating and allows your "inner chef" to provide great formal meals.  But the Informal family-room -kitchen and spacious deck allow for the more typical Maine meal - lobster while overlooking the harbor! Table and chairs for family dining and playing games are provided. Cable TV, stereo and DVD player are also available in this family area.

Planning a special large group event?

A family reunion? A 40th (or 50th or 60th - well you get the idea!) birthday celebration with friends? Getting married in Maine and want a place where the family can stay together for the special event? Traveling with good friends and wanting to just relax in Maine, sipping wine as you look at the harbor and sample the lobster, crab and other local delicacies?  All of these are GREAT reasons to have your "own home" in Maine for your stay! Everyone can have their own room and full bath!

Need a smaller nest to vacation in? 

Use as many or as few of the guest rooms as you need and "create your rate"! Select the room(s) that you wish to use,  we'll lock the others and you can control your costs! You can still enjoy this lovely home even if the group size - or budget - is smaller!
